Tess Halldorson, RMT
Tess Halldorson is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. Tess is in good standing with the CMTBC, and a member of the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of British Columbia.
Tess grew up with an admiration for the massage therapy profession, having received treatment her whole life. She loved the idea that people could escape their busy lives and enter a safe and comfortable place, encouraging general health and wellbeing.
Tess addresses each patient as a whole, and believes the health of our musculoskeletal system is facilitated not only through skill and the application of an appropriate treatment plan, but also by promoting a tranquil state of mind. Tess believes in keeping up to date on the latest treatment techniques, and obtaining measurable outcomes with thorough before and after treatment assessment. She is passionate about helping her patients reach their therapeutic goals, whether it be injury recovery, stress related, or maintaining general wellness. Tess has experience with a wide variety of conditions, such as: tension headaches, migraines, whiplash, thoracic outlet syndrome, athletic injuries, piriformis syndrome, pregnancy, cramps, edema, knee injuries, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, among many others. She has further experience working with various spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, ALS, Alzheimer’s and dementia. Tess is proficient in several modalities, including Swedish Massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, joint mobilizations, and neuromuscular techniques. When appropriate, she also applies different types of stretching into your treatment, such as active, passive, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stretching. In her spare time, Tess enjoys hiking, playing video games, curling up with a good book, and ultimately cuddling with her cat and her rabbit. She looks forward to meeting you.
